NEW SERMON SERIES:

                                      "New Wine in New Skins!" 

                                            Dealing with Depression, Fear and the like 

Oops, I mentioned the dreaded word "wine."  Well, Jesus turned water into wine and he also talks about putting new and good wine into new skins instead of old ones.  Our lives are suppose to be new and exciting each day.  However, we tend to put them right back into the same old pattern.  As a result, we struggle with mediocrity,  depression, and fear.  We are left asking, "Is this as good as it gets?"

As we enter into the fall season we have had a year of economic uncertainty, job loss and high prices everywhere.  Not to mention we are in an election year!  It can cause stress.  It can cause panic and it can make us lose focus of what is truly important. 

Over the next month we will be looking at how to deal with these issues and learn what our Lord has to say about them.  This week we will learn to first love ourselves.  Our Lord says we are worth loving.  However, we do such a terrible job at treating ourselves with love and compassion.
